Objective

Participants will understand the fundamental principles of symmetry, repetition, and flow that characterize mandala art. They will also learn and master the technique of creating intricate swooshes in dot mandala art. By the end of the workshop, they will be able to design complex mandalas with fluid and consistent swoosh patternsand intricate mandala swooshes using basic shapes and techniques. 

Materials Needed

* 5 mm square grid paper
* MDF boards
* Acrylic paints (multiple colors)
* Flat brushes (for painting and removing dust)
* Charcoal pencil/ soap pencil
* Cutter (for sharpening pencils)
* Ruler, Protractor and compasses (or mandala grid stencil )
* Dotting tools of various sizes
* Empty paint pots
* Pouring medium
* Paper towels or rags
* Pointed tool
